My thanks go out to all the visitors whose helpful emails made The Anvil's seven-year run possible. I simply don't have time to maintain the site these days. Maybe we'll do it again sometime!

- Daemon Tools is a vastly superior alternative to Virtual CD-ROM.
- Easy CD Pro is not compatible with today's operating systems, or high-speed burners; try Nero or DiscJuggler.
- AtGuard firewall and privacy manager can be found as part of Norton Internet Security, available for around $10 on www.pricewatch.com.
- Win-SFV has been replaced by multi-format CRC tools such as fsum.
